The pump operation is controlled as per the chilled water or cooling requirements and sequence of operation is automated via field control devices i.e. valves, thermometers and pressure switches etc.
Pump sets are supplied mounted on a substantial fabricated base plate; the complete assembly is of a rigid construction, being intended for mounting on suitable foundations.
The pump sets are supplied fitted with a proprietary high efficiency electric motor adequately sized for the duty specified.
Below is a sample checklist which can be used for inspection of pre commissioning of pumps.

Check the pump is installed as per the approved shop drawings |

Check the pump installation whether it is as per the manufacturer instructions |

Check the firmness & and tightness of foundation bolts |

Check the base frame level is installed correct |

Check the pump cabling and termination |

Check whether the pumps are free to rotate with hand. |

Check the Pre-charge pressure in the pressure vessel is below 0.5 bar than
the cut in pressure of the pumps |

Check cut in and cut out pressures operate correctly as per the design parameters |

Check the float valve in the water tank for operation and drip tightness. |

All relevant valves are opened. |
11 |
Check that the dry run protection is wired and working |
12 |
Check pump casing is vented. |
13 |
Water supply piping network is complete and approved. |
14 |
Water Piping connection between the outlet of the pump piping circuit completed |
15 |
Check for installation of pressure gauges & instruments. |
16 |
Check identification & labeling. |
17 |
Check that the electrical testing is completed. |
