The purpose of this Method Statement is to define the procedures, responsibilities, safety requirements, quality control measures, inspection activities, and acceptance criteria for the cleaning, flushing, disinfection (sterilization), neutralization, sampling, and final commissioning preparation of domestic water systems.
The objective is to ensure that newly installed domestic cold water and domestic hot water systems are free from construction debris, contaminants, microbiological hazards, and harmful residues prior to being placed into service. The completed process shall verify that the potable water system is safe for human consumption and complies with project specifications, local authority requirements, and applicable international standards.
